Instead of looking for one huge piece of art to fill a large space, use several similarly themed pieces as an interesting  grouping.

When you have a large wall to tackle, you have options. Instead of looking for a huge piece of art (which can also be very pricey) look for interesting subject matter that can be framed as a series.  For example, here we used reproduction cactus botanicals and another series of pressed flowers. In both rooms, we gave the varied art continuity by keeping the matting and framing consistent. For more traditional rooms, hanging a even number of pieces in a grid is appropriate. In more contemporary settings, play with odd numbers or arranging them “out side the box”.
